Our client is an independent, leading-edge quantitative equity manager focused exclusively on U.S. equity portfolios offered in separate accounts. The firm currently manages over $20 billion for a prestigious global roster of corporate pension plans, public retirement systems, multi-employer funds, endowments, and foundations.  Clients are served by a staff of 50+ professionals dedicated to research, quantitative systems, and implementation.

The candidate must have a CPA with public and private experience preferred.  This role is heavily oriented towards Compliance

Candidates must be curious and want to learn/understand the investment management business as well as possess great attention to detail.

 

This position requires an individual to assist the CFO in overseeing and performing a variety of tasks within the compliance, back office securities operations, and finance areas.

Typical duties include maintenance and reporting of client account and composite returns, reviewing client reports and RFPs, compliance auditing of policies and procedures, interacting with outside auditors and regulatory bodies, client invoicing, corporate accounting and back-office operational responsibilities. Must have strong communication and PC skills, including Excel, and be a well-organized, detail-oriented team player, able to meet deadlines. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, along with a minimum 5 years of industry experience. Familiarity with CFA Institute Global Investment Performance Standards is a plus. CPA is required.
